DOVER — Popzup Popcorn of Dover has made it into the Top 100 Finalists in the 2022 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest. Voting is now open to the public and closes at 11 p.m. (EST) on March 31. To cast your vote for Popzup Popcorn, go to smallbusinessgrant.fedex.com/top-100. Votes are limited to once per email address per 24-hour period, so you can vote every day until March 31, at 11 p.m.
Popzup owner and co-founder Julie Lapham says, “We are beyond thrilled to have made it to this point, and feel so grateful for this opportunity. In this contest, there will be a total of only 10 winners, and we need your help to get there!”
Each finalist receives a complimentary consultation with a product expert at Klaviyo, the leading customer platform for email, SMS, and more; mentor matching with SCORE, a non-profit with the largest network of free volunteer business mentors in the U.S.; and a complimentary 30-minute session of business coaching (over the phone or virtually) from Accion Opportunity Fund, a national nonprofit organization that connects entrepreneurs with capital and resources to support their success.
Julie Lapham and co-founder Marty Lapham started Popzup Popcorn in 2015 after learning that conventional microwave popcorn contains chemicals and unhealthy oils. Popzup Popcorn is made from locally sourced ingredients including non-GMO popcorn kernels and is packaged at the Lapham’s Popzup Factory in Dover, New Hampshire. The product line includes ready-to-eat Popzup Popped and Seasoned Popcorn Bags, Popzup K-Pouches, the Popzup Popper, and eight Popzup Popcorn Seasonings.
