Nashua Collegiate Skaters Earn Eastern Championship Medals

NASHUA, NH — Figure skaters Kiley McNeil and Brooke Robbins, members of the Skating Club of Boston’s Team Excel Collegiate Synchronized Skating Team, took home gold medals on Sunday at the 2022 Eastern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships in Norwood, Massachusetts.

Team Excel scored a season-high 89.21 points at the event.

The University of Delaware Synchronized Skating Team finished second with 85.93 points; the bronze medal went to Boston University with a score of 61.12.

UMass/Amherst earned a pewter medal for their 52.25 score.

The team will head to the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships March 2-5 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Their event is tentatively scheduled for March 5 and will be shown live on the Peacock Network.

Team Excel Collegiate is made up of synchronized skaters attending colleges from around New England.

McNeil, a 2019 Nashua High South graduate, attends the University of Rhode Island while Robbins, who graduated from Hollis-Brookline in 2020, is a Sophomore at Emmanuel College in Boston, MA. Both skaters are representing members of Nashua’s Gate City Figure Skating Club. Team Excel Collegiate also took home the gold medal Dec. 12, 2021, at the Cape Cod Synchronized Skating Classic in Hyannis, MA, and earned a silver medal at the Boston Synchronized Skating Classic Nov. 21, 2021.
