The Merrimack Valley Unified basketball team won its second game of the year over Pembroke Academy, 49-48. Sophia Bush led the Pride with 12 points, while Ayden Bailey and Gabby Woodward each scored 10 points. Both teams played extremely well.
NH Lightning Softball College Showcase Team’s camp for players age 7-12 will be on Feb. 28 from 9 a.m. to noon (registration starts at 8:30 a.m.) at Concord Sports Center, 2 Whitney Road. Sign up at nhlightning.com. Cost is $50.
NH Spartans AAU basketball will be holding tryouts at the Derry Sports Center on Feb. 6. Tryouts will be open to boys and girls in grades 3-12. Times are as follows: grades 3-6, 11 a.m. to noon; grades 7-8, noon to 1 p.m.; grades 9-12, 1-2 p.m.

Concord Northeast Baseball and Softball registration is now open. Concord Northeast offers t-ball (ages 4-6), softball (8U through age 16), and baseball (coach pitch, AA/AAA, majors, and Babe Ruth (up to age 15). Softball is open to Concord residents. Everett Arena public ice skating hours will be Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday hours are from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday hours will also be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission will be $6 for skaters and free for children ages 3 and under.
