Here are the top stories in Bedford today:

  1. If you fly out of the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), you may want to check your flights for delays. MHT is preparing for possible flight delays because of a 5G tower in Massachusetts that affects southern New Hampshire, said Airport Director Ted Kitchens. Low-visibility approaches to Runway 35 “will be impacted by the 5G rollout” and have been deemed “not available” by the FAA through what is called a Notice to Airmen, Kitchens wrote. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) warned that 5G wireless could interfere with radio altimeters and the ability of planes to use the instruments in low-visibility operations. New Hampshire Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan have called for improved communication between the Federal Aviation Administration and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport officials on possible local impacts from the rollout of the 5G phone service. The reviewer stopped by for lunch around 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon and said the Tavern “was quite busy.” They ordered Tzatziki Salmon on greens with fries, saying it was “perfectly cooked” and topped with a drizzle of tzatziki. The reviewer called The River Road Tavern “a wonderful experience.” You can read the full review and more about this story here (with a subscription): (The Union Leader)
